Langton Green

Langton Green is a village about 2 miles west of Tunbridge Wells on the A264, known for All Saints church and as the birthplace of Subbuteo.

Langton Green is a village about two miles west of Tunbridge Wells town centre on the A264. It sits within the parish of Speldhurst and has its own church, All Saints, built in 1862 to 1863 by George Gilbert Scott. The church is Grade II* listed.

The village has a claim to fame beyond Kent: the table-top football game Subbuteo was invented and produced for many years in Langton Green. Everyday life centres on the village facilities, which include Langton Green Primary School, a sports association and a modern village hall. The Hare is the village public house. Holmewood House School, an independent school, is also located here.

Langton Green is reached by road along the A264 from Tunbridge Wells. We have not confirmed a current bus or rail link for the village, so check a journey planner before you travel. Being within Speldhurst parish, local matters are handled by Speldhurst Parish Council, whose area also takes in the neighbouring village of Speldhurst itself.
